If it were possible, I’d live off chocolate alone. Or apples.
Seriously, I love them that much.
Unfortunately, most chocolate found in supermarkets is filled with icky hormone disrupters like soy, dairy, and other preservatives.
So for today’s TWIP (This Week in Paleo) post, I bring you some of the MANY ways I get my chocolate fix.
Because: CHOCOLATE.
As with any sweet product, moderation is key, but everyone deserves something sweet once in a while 😉
Eating Evolved
Have you heard of Eating Evolved?
I love their chocolate because it is organic and soy, dairy, gluten, and refined sugar free. They sweeten everything with maple syrup which is INCREDIBLE!
Some of my favorites are their 72% signature dark. They even have a sampler pack with ALL THE CHOCOLATE, a great bargain for chocolate lovers.
And the coconut butter cups?
I can’t even.
Take a look at some of the products they sell- from veeeeery dark chocolate to bittersweet. There is almond and sea salt, vanilla bean and coffee, and a very enticing caramel version. Here’s a link to their storefront.
They are running a FANTASTIC summer sale right now with 20% off sampler packs and 10% off everything else!
Enjoy Life
I’ve talked before about how I’m also a big fan of Enjoy Life chocolate. I’ve eaten their products for years.
I love to eat the chocolate chips straight out of the bag or make cookies, trail mix and other snacks (if I decide to cook, that is)!
Everything they offer is also free of soy, gluten, and dairy.
Hooray happy hormones!
You can find their chocolate in chip or bar form. I’m personally a big fan of the chips since I can measure out just how many I want but the bars are also fabulous. (Find the chips here and bars here)
Love Bean Fudge Spreads
So, there’s also this fabulous company called Love Bean that makes the most delicious fudgy spreads.
Remember that creamy, chocolatey spread product that you used to love…until you found out it was laden with CRAP?
Well this is that only so so much better.
It’s creamy, it’s nutty, it’s full of delicious fat and chocolate and HAPPINESS.
It is ALL THE THINGS.
After a great workout ala Lift Weights Faster or a night of dancing, I like to eat a scoop or two right off the spoon. They even have squeeze packs guys. SQUEEZE PACKS.
The possibilities are endless!
Find Love Bean’s coconut oil based fudge spread here and those squeeze packs here.

Those are just some of the ways I get my chocolate fix without having to consume yucky things like dairy and soy.

Trader Joe’s now sells a 72% cacao organic Belgian dark chocolate bar with only three ingredients: cocoa mass, cane sugar and cocoa butter. I suppose a different sweetener might be preferable, but it’s pretty delish and pretty pure in terms of ingredients.
NICE!!
